Hello, I’m Andrew, a Psychologist based in West Perth. My approach is practical and collaborative. I don’t believe therapy should be a vague conversation — it should give you clarity about what’s driving your difficulties and provide strategies that actually make a difference. I predominantly draw on Schema Therapy, as well as DBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based approaches, tailoring therapy to your needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all model.

What Makes My Approach Different
While I draw on a range of therapies, I place strong emphasis on understanding the patterns that keep people stuck. Often, difficulties like anxiety or depression are only the surface expression of deeper experiences. Schema Therapy is particularly useful here — it helps us identify long-standing beliefs and coping styles that developed early in life, and then shift them toward healthier ways of responding.
By exploring these underlying patterns, therapy can move beyond short-term symptom relief and create more lasting change.
